CLINICS WITH BETTINA BIOLIK
Learn dressage with clarity, feel, and kindness — together.
Clinics are one of my favourite ways to teach. You learn in your own lessons, but also by watching others, listening to theory, and experiencing how training principles apply to different horses.
Whether you’d like to participate or you’re considering hosting a clinic in your area, you’ll find the details below.
Join as a rider or listener and learn through lessons + theory, with clear guidance you can take home and apply right away.
If you have a small group who would love structured, horse-first learning, I’ll happily send availability and help you plan the format.
Why clinics work so well
A good clinic creates momentum. You get focused input, time to reflect, and a clear next step to take home. And because you’re learning in a group, you often understand more deeply than you would alone—someone else’s lesson can unlock something in your own.
My goal is always the same:
keep the horse confident and motivated
make the training understandable
give you practical steps you can actually implement at home.
Clinic Formats
Weekend Clinic

typically 5–7 riders with horses
3 individual lessons per rider (30 min)
2 theory lectures
listeners welcome
Training Day

typically 5–7 riders with horses
2 individual lessons per rider (30 min)
1 theory lecture
listeners welcome
Online Clinic

Online clinics are possible as well.
Same conditions as live clinics, minus travel costs.
You’ll need stable Wi-Fi or a reliable data connection in the arena.
Great to keep momentum between live clinics or when it's too far for me to travel.
What we can work on
Clinics can be general, or the theory can focus on a theme:
seat,
side movements,
starting groundwork,
developing collection,
half-halt/school halt,
avoiding stress in dressage training,
basics of longe work, and more.
The lessons are always tailored to the individual horse and rider. We meet you where you are and build from there.
Would you like to host a clinic in your area?
Hosting can be a wonderful way to bring people together and create a shared learning experience in your local horse community. Many organisers tell me that the clinic weekend becomes a real turning point—because everyone trains with the same principles, and the conversations continue long after the clinic ends.
If you’re considering it, here’s exactly how it works, what is needed, and what it costs—so you can make a clear decision.
Clinics work best when there is a small group ready to commit to dates, and one person (or a small team) happy to coordinate the practical side.

What my students say
"Today we finished another amazing clinic with the fantastic Bettina.
It was a really interesting clinic in terms of the different levels of horse training and the variety of training methods. We were able to observe basic ground work, academic lunging, work in hand, and work from the saddle.
As always, Bettina led all the training sessions with her characteristic empathy, gentleness, and attention to the well-being of horses and people. Every time, I am captivated by her teaching style. The way she is able to convey knowledge clearly, breaking it down into small steps that are understandable to both humans and horses. Even the way she communicates with you during training is incredibly pleasant and motivating.
Training with her is extremely important to me! It is like the wind in my sails, a lighthouse in the night... It confirms that what I do in my work with horses is right and good. Words cannot express how grateful I am!"
"Have just been to one of Bettina's clinics. Absolutely blown away. Classical Riding as it is meant to be but actually explained for both those who know much about horses and those who know nothing. My only regret is I didn't discover this 40 years ago.
I have background of classical training, equine bodywork and saddle fitting so was so grateful to watch Bettina helping each horse's training to its own physical and mental ability. The quality of teaching was gobsmacking – clear, concise and no ego. Always the horse first. Highly recommend to anyone. Those who have followed the progression of natural horsemanship in all its forms! will discover this is the final answer to the puzzle. All of the spectators were knowledgeable people but we were all resolved to continue on this route."
"It was a wonderful weekend with you and your teaching style Bettina. As this is my third clinic with you it’s been wonderful to see how the partnership of horse and human has evolved whilst they’ve invested in your teachings….no doubt that wonderful results have accrued.
Even watching the transformations over this weekend; people being given real tools that the horses could grasp…..so powerful!
I know that you’re in demand all over the world but I’m very glad that you find the time for us in Bonnie Scotland!"
A Note From Bettina
Teaching clinics is my great passion. It's such a privilege to meet so many different people and horses! Wherever I go — from Ireland to Poland, from Germany to Australia — the students have the same wishes: to understand the art of riding, to get clear, actionable steps, and to deepen the relationship with their horses.
My background in teaching allows me to respond individually to each student's needs. In my courses, I take special care to explain exercises in a very comprehensive way. I take you by the hand and show you how it’s done. You learn how to identify correct movement, and you will really understand the essence – what you are doing and why you are doing it. Moreover, we will consider what your horse has to say about the training and how to develop a trustful connection. We'll also break down the exercises step by step for your horse, so it can feel confident and motivated.
Clinics are a great occasion to meet like-minded horse people and be inspired. By working with your own horse, watching lessons and listening to theory lectures, you will have lots of new input and learn some new skills.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your horse and finding out what can take you to the next level!

MORE TESTIMONIALS
Wow, just wow Bettina, we just loved this clinic with you, so blessed. It was lovely to see the progress this time, since the last clinic and even from one day to the next. And a really great group of people, building a community of like minded enthusiasts. The horses agree, they were all super today!

I ’m so happy to have finally attended one of your clinics Bettina. You have filled so many gaps for me in a couple of short days and given me the tools to start moving forward. I absolutely love your science based approach and the importance you place on establishing the basics and I can’t wait to start having some virtual sessions with you and fingers crossed attend your clinic next time you’re out here!
